This painting captures the rhythm of a city where life is always in motion. The danfo becomes more than a means of transportation, it becomes a moving portrait of society, carrying different individuals with their unique identities, dreams, pressures, and daily struggles. The three faces represent the diversity of Lagos and the different ways people navigate life within the same society. Each person carries a personal story, yet they share the same journey, reflecting how individual lifestyles are shaped by their environment. The vibrant colours, patterns, and expressive faces mirror the energy, creativity, chaos, and resilience that define Lagos. Ultimately, the work speaks of a city where millions of personal journeys become one collective story, a society constantly moving, adapting, hustling, and dreaming. This is Lagos: busy, colourful, demanding, diverse, and alive. These Danfo buses mostly carry different themes or funny quotes on their bodies, such as “Èkó Miàmi,” which means “Lagos like Miami,” and so on.
